Summary
“Sequential Graphics” is a drawing software. The canvas in this program has a looped timeline and it is playing back repeatedly. Users can add strokes in this canvas in real time while viewing the playback. Therefore, they can create a “moving picture” that is neither movies or pictures.
Concept
The concept of “Sequential Graphics” is a momentum or a sense of reality. Most of drawing Softwares are making efforts to simulate real papers and real brushes. However, as long as we simulate real papers, we cannot get the expressions beyond them. I attempted to find the new expressive possibilities for computers because I believe there is a better expressive idiom rather than imitate real papers for computers.
